Korean language settings for iOS

1. Check that there is Korean keyboard, either Standard or 10 Key, in Settings / General / Keyboard / Keyboards.

2. Confirm that Automatic or 2-Set Korean is selected for the Korean keyboard in Settings / General / Keyboard / Hardware Keyboard.

3. The Korean language code is 9, where the mnemonic is K with the Rivo alphabet layout.

4. The language at L3 can be any Roman alphabet language. The initial factory setting is English.

5. The language at L4 can be any language. The initial factory setting is none.

6. The Korean language can be set at L4.

7. To set the Korean language at L4, press L3 + L1, L4, 6, 9.

8. To unset the language at L4, press L3 + L1, L4, R1.

9. Roman alphabet letters and common keyboard symbols are as in Rivo alphabet layout and Rivo symbols.

10. Three input methods, Rivo Hangul, Cheonjiin, and Naragul, are supported for typing Korean. Among these, Rivo Hangul is the default in Rivo, which is the fastest to type among the three. Consonants and vowels in Korean are assigned to each number button as in the following sections.

11. Rivo Hangul

To set Rivo to use Rivo Hangul when typing Korean letters, press L3 + L1, L4, 4, 1.

For convenience, 8 and 0 need to be pressed only once to type the second letters ㅆ and ㅊ, respectively, unless they are input after a consonant. For example, you can press 5, 6, 8 to enter '있', and 0, R2 to enter '츠'.

12. Cheonjiin

To set Rivo to use Cheonjiin when typing Korean letters, press L3 + L1, L4, 4, 9.

To set Rivo to use Naragul when typing Korean letters, press L3 + L1, L4, 4, 2.

For convenience, 'ㄸ' is input when R2 is pressed after typing 'ㄴ', and 'ㅃ' is input when R2 is pressed after typing 'ㅁ'.
