Belgian language settings for iOS

1. Make sure that there is Dutch (Belgium), French (Belgium) or German (Germany) keyboard in Settings > General > Keyboard > Keyboards.

2. Additionally, make sure that Automatic, Belgian or French for Dutch (Belgium) keyboard or French (Belgium) keyboard, and Belgian or French for German (Germany) keyboard is selected in Settings > General > Keyboard > Hardware Keyboard.

3. The Belgian language code is BEL, represented by the numeric 8, 1, 6.

4. The language at L3 can be any Roman alphabet language. The initial factory setting is English.

5. The language at L4 can be any language. The initial factory setting is none.

6. The Belgian language can be set at either L3 or L4.

7. To set the Belgian language at L3, press L3 + L1, 6, 8, 1, 6.

8. To set the Belgian language at L4, press L3 + L1, L4, 6, 8, 1, 6.

9. To unset the language at L4, press L3 + L1, L4, R1.

10. Roman alphabet letters and common keyboard symbols are as in Rivo alphabet layout and Rivo symbols layout.

11. Letters with diacritic accent marks for three languages in Belgium, which are Dutch, French and German, can be typed as follows:

éR2 + 1
ä, ë, ï, ö, ü, ÿR2 + 2, after typing the base letter (a, e, i, o, u, y)
â, ê, î, ô, ûR2 + 5, after typing the base letter (a, e, i, o, u)
